We are Kate Mahaffey and Nathan Dore.  We have maintained our 8 acres of blueberries in Pittston, Maine since 2011.  We named our farm Slow Rise because our blueberry fields are on a beautiful slow rise towards the top of Blinn Hill in the Dresden/Pittston area and we like the reminder to take things  "slow" in this fast-paced time.  In 2020, we leased another 11 acres of wild blueberries down the road.  When we are not weeding the fields or convincing our family to help us weed the fields, we are raising our 2 sons Joshua and Samuel and slowly renovating the old 1800s cape that came with our fields.  We have been proudly certified organic by MOFGA since 2011.
